Benefits & how it works

If you’re pregnant and driving, a normal seatbelt starts to feel wrong fast. It rides up on your bump, digs in when you brake, and turns every driving trip into a serious risk.

We created MimiAir to bring you back safety and peace of mind while you drive.

It keeps the lap belt safely under your belly so pressure stays on your hips instead of your bump.

That means you can drive without that constant “is this hurting the baby?” feeling, even on sudden stops or longer rides.

It’s a simple add-on that clicks in once and stays put. One size fits all, works across pregnancy stages, and gives you the kind of peace of mind you want on the road.

  • ✔ Safe belly.
  • ✔ Safe baby.
  • ✔ Happy Mama.
How to easily install

MimiAir is easy to install and only takes a few seconds.

  • Step 1

First, sit in your car seat and place the belt base on the seat where you normally sit, with the strap facing forward.

  • Step 2

Next, wrap and secure the base strap around the seat bottom so it’s anchored tightly and doesn’t slide. You want it flat and centered under you.

  • Step 3

Then buckle your car’s seatbelt as normal. Pull the lap section down and guide it through the belt’s lower guides so the lap belt sits low across your hips, under your bump. The shoulder strap stays the same.

  • Step 4

Finally, adjust the tension so it feels snug but comfortable.

Once it’s set, you can leave it installed and just buckle in normally every time you drive.

Why MimiAir?

Why MimiAir?

Traditional seatbelts can be potentially dangerous for pregnant women. The impact of the pressure onto the belly from a collision or sudden braking can harm the unborn baby.

That's why we've created the MimiAir!

MimiAir is a seatbelt adjuster specifically designed for expectant mothers - transforming the traditional seatbelt into a 3-point lap sash, recommended for pregnant women.

“This belt saved the life of my unborn child two days ago. I was involved in an accident where someone ran a red light while speeding and smashed into me and my 14 month old. I am 19 weeks pregnant. The impact was so hard that the mimiAir snapped in 2, but with all of the damage to my legs my doctor said I likely would have lost my baby if it weren't for this amazing device. We had purchased when I was pregnant with my first- and before we were even released from the hospital we ordered a new one to have when I can get a new car. I can't thank you enough mimiAir. You saved my baby boy. I even made sure to share in local moms groups etc. every pregnant woman needs a minibelt.”

“I saw the ad for this on facebook and insisted we get one when my wife was pregnant. She ended up getting into a car accident at 34 weeks and Dr's strongly suggested the outcome would have been completely different had she not been using one of these. Happy to say we had a happy healthy baby who is now 2 months old. I 100% recommend this.”

“When I first found out I was pregnant, my husband and I were incredibly excited, but I also became more aware of all the risks out there, especially when driving. After reading about safety issues with regular seatbelts for pregnant women, I decided to look for a solution that would help keep my baby safe. That's when I discovered the MimiAir, and it has been one of the best decisions I've made during my pregnancy. I'm now 32 weeks along and have used this belt from around 16 weeks. The comfort it provides is amazing. It takes the pressure off my abdomen, which was such a relief, especially since my regular seatbelt was starting to dig into my bump. The adjuster is incredibly easy to install—I didn't need any help setting it up in my car—and it fits snugly, keeping the regular belt below my belly. I was in a minor accident last week when someone rear-ended me at a traffic light. Although shaken, I walked away completely unharmed, and my doctor assured me that the baby is fine. The MimiAir did exactly what it promised and kept my baby protected by preventing any harsh impact directly on my stomach. I'm so grateful to have found this product. I tell every expecting mother I know about the MimiAIr, and I hope this review helps someone else make a similar choice.”

“I bought the MimiAir when I was around 18 weeks pregnant because I wanted to do everything I could to keep my baby safe while driving. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the belt adjuster—it felt sturdy and well-made, and the installation took just a few minutes. What really amazed me was the comfort. Before the MimiAir, I hated wearing the seatbelt because it felt like it was pressing directly on my stomach, which made me anxious every time I was in the car. But with the MimiAir, the belt is comfortably positioned below my bump, and I don't feel any pressure on my belly. It honestly makes a huge difference. The true test came at 29 weeks when I was rear-ended while stopped at a light. It wasn't a high-speed crash, but it definitely shook me up. The doctors reassured me that the baby was completely unharmed, and I firmly believe that the MimiAir is the reason. It kept all of the pressure away from my abdomen, and I came out of the accident with nothing but a bit of soreness. I've recommended the MimiAIr to all of my friends who are expecting—it's an essential safety device, and I wouldn't imagine driving without it.”
